   The DP&L Foundation was established in 1985 to

   reinvest in our communities and contribute to

   the region’s overall quality of life.

The DP&L Foundation annually donates more than $1 million to a variety of civic, cultural, and youth organizations, with a particular emphasis on those that have an educational focus.

Education

The investments that we make today will prepare the leaders of tomorrow.  Some of the education organizations we support include:

  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters

  • Boy and Girl Scouts
  • The Dayton Urban League
  • Project Read
  • ThinkTV

 

Health & Human Services

DP&L donates to a broad base of health and human service organizations through the United Way in all 24 counties that we serve. 

Other service organizations we support include:

  • East End Community Services

  • The Foodbank
  • Red Cross
  • Salvation Army
  • United Way

 

Economic Development

We actively reach out to the communities in our 24-county service area. DP&L works to promote growth in the region through:

  • 25+ area chambers of commerce

  • Dayton Development Coalition

Arts

In 2007 DP&L was honored by the Ohio Arts Council with the Governor's Award for Business Support of the Arts in Ohio for the company's "holistic and strategic interest in the welfare of the arts community."
